Event description
What are you called to write?
This 10-week writing workshop builds on the foundations you've built already (preferably in my Poetic Process writing workshop). Consistency can be a great way to start writing, but it's a great way to get stuck too. This workshop is all about developing your craft and growing as a writer. LIMITED TO 12 WRITERS.
"The secret to writing is writing. It's only a secret to people who don't want to hear it. Writing is how you be a writer. Art is craft: all art is always and essentially a work of craft." —Ursula K. Le Guin
Join a diverse group of women who have a desire to write, to share their voices, and to change the world. This workshop was designed for entrepreneurs, corporate employees, and other "nonwriters" (i.e., you love to write but have trouble calling yourself a "writer").
What we will focus on in this workshop:

Growth.
Voice.
Diction.
Craft.
Editing.
Publishing.

What we will NOT focus on in this workshop:

Journaling.
Marketing.
Writing something once, done, move on.
Staying in our comfort zone.

In this workshop, we move away from the writing that has gotten you to this point and move toward writing that introduces you to your future writer self.
NOTE ON LOCATION: Location will depend on who and how many sign up, but will be in the Portland area and announced with enough advance notice.
