MECC (Making Every Contact Count) is an accredited Public Health course. Each session is worth £200, but is being offered free to members of the voluntary/community sector.
Making Every Contact Count is about altering how we interact with people to address Health and Wellbeing. It is an approach to changing behaviour, that supports individuals and groups to take the first steps towards improving their lifestyle. If you ever thought that you don’t have time or techniques to support your beneficiaries or contacts to make positive changes – then this training is for you!
You will leave this training with:-

Increased Confidence in how to recognise opportunities to talk about health and wellbeing;
New Conversational Skills to support people to make positive changes in their behaviour;
Increased Knowledge about the tools and techniques required to support individuals in setting objectives and creating personalised action plans;
Gain the MECC Lite Public Health Accredited Certificate.
