Event description

How to become The Beloved Community? As the Episcopal arm of the Jesus Movement, we seek to reach the people wherever they are, and to share the love of Jesus by practicing the Gospel call of John 13:34-35 - "As I have loved you, so you must love one another. By this everyone will know  that you are my disciples, if you love one another."
In these troubling times of xenophobia and demonizing the Other, this timely workshop will increase our cultural awareness, help us to walk a moment in the other's shoes, and teach us ways to blur the lines of racism and love ALL God's children. Funded and supported by a Constable Grant of the Episcopal Church, and conducted by the Province VII Anti-Racism Network, this workshop is free for clergy and lay leaders. Continental breakfast, lunch and refreshments will be served. Space is limited so registration is recommended.
We will be using "Seeing the **** of God in Each Other", the Episcopal Church's anti-racism manual. You may download a copy for free here: .
Co-hosted by: Holy Comforter Episcopal Church and Trinity Episcopal Church, The Woodlands.
