Course Overview
“Injured Workers: Clinical Tools for Successful Outcomes”
Scott Gettings OT, CHT, and Mark Kerestan PT, PA-C, CEASIt is this intention of this 2-hour CEU course to provide an in-depth review of clinical treatment considerations/options for the injured worker. The introduction will review the importance of documentation and consideration for different audiences as well as emerging trends that will influence documentation needs. The main course will then dive into Functional Capacity Evaluations and the APTA guidelines for the same. This will be followed by a new transition to DC concept, the “work fitness” program. The course will finish with a Discussion on Work Rehabilitation for the TBI/Concussed worker and the importance of employer relationships. A period for questions and answers will be included at the conclusion of the course. The course is intended for Physical Therapists, Occupational Therapists, PTA’s and COTAs.
