Event description
The aim of the meeting is to form a 'friends of 'park group for Arundel Close Wildlife Site (off Uxbridge Road, Hampton/Hampton Hill). The group would feed in residents' views and support the Council in its management, suggesting and possibly making, improvements for wildlife and people. The meeting will hear about the role and benefits of friends groups in a presentation by the charity South West London Environment Network (SWLEN), a questions and answers session and an election to form the committee.

During the meeting we will hold an election to form the committee. People will be asked to nominate themselves, say a very brief few words about themselves. We will be seeking to elect a minimum of 5 people to the committee. The newly elected people will then agree who fills which roles in the group, i.e. chair, treasurer, secretary etc. Our charity will provide support to the new committee and group including providing a template constitution, free website to use and training and coaching on how to manage it and any social media accounts that might be set up to promote the work of the group.
Please let us know if you will be attending the meeting, or if you are unable to attend but would like to be kept updated, select this option. Please note, if you sign up, your name and email address will be held by our charity and we will send you newsletters about local environmental activities (you can unsubscribe at any time) as well as your name and email address being passed to the new group when it forms so they may send you information about their activities.
