Event description
Join us for a fun and information-filled wildlife recreation event at Hardware Ranch on March 23! We will be holding a clinic consisting of instruction and Q&A. The Turkey Hunting 101 clinic will run 10:00 a.m. - 11:15 a.m. 
The turkey clinic will prepare you to get a gobbler this spring. Experts with the National Wild Turkey Federation will cover:
Turkey Hunting 101

Hunting Pre-work

What calls are out there?
What should I wear?
Which firearm and ammo do I use?
Where should I hunt? Private vs. Public

What else is helpful to have when hunting? Decoys, gps/map, etc.
Safety
Turkey identification
Pattering shotgun

Taking the shot

Staff from the Cache Valley Public shooting range will be available to assist you with gun patterning. You are also welcome to bring your bow; we will have 3-D turkey targets set up for individuals who want to fine-tune their archery skills, field tips only please! We will only be supplying targets to shoot at; you will be responsible for bringing your shotgun, ammo and or archery equipment. 
 
Reminders: Please bring your own chairs and remember to dress for the weather!
