Event description
Intro to Block Printing
Let your creative side free in this block printing workshop! Block printing is the process of designing and carving a simple design of your choice into a block of rubber, and then using paint or ink to apply the carved block to fabric, in this case a zipped pouch.
You’ll receive hands on instruction from Jessica on how to choose your design to give you the best end result. The workshop fee includes plenty of inspiration for your design, all supplies including the zipped canvas pouch, paint and ink, blocks, brayers, sketch supplies, tracing paper, and instructions on how to heat set your pouch when you get home. You can use your new pouch for makeup, art supplies, or as a fun gift!
Experience level: Beginner! No experience is necessary for this workshop

About Jessica Pinkston
Jessica is the owner of the Secret Life of Daydreams, a creative events company in D.C. She is happiest when she lets her creative juices flow whether by designing fun events for the public such as the Literary Tea Series or planning and designing weddings. Her goal at each event she creates is that everyone she welcomes and works with finds a little space and peace during their time together.
Jessica is quite crafty and loves the arts/crafts side of Daydreams. She has been teaching workshops for two years and what she enjoys most is watching the evolution of her student’s work and seeing how her crafters are often surprised with themselves when they see their finished work.
