Event description
Note: This registration applies to the April 18 & 25 2-day workshop. To benefit from the information provided in the workshop, you must attend both dates.

Join us for our 2-day workshop beginning April 18 and come back April 25 to put all you have learned to the test!
Did you know that a 25-year-old who is offered a salary of $50,000 and negotiates it to $55,000 will earn $634,000 more over 20 years? Yet, half of U.S. workers don’t negotiate job offers.
The iLab will be hosting "Effective Negotiation: Essentials & Strategies." Come and learn more about the art of negotiating with Cal Poly Pomona’s very own expert Dr. Zeynep G. Aytug, Assistant Professor of Management in the College of Business Administration. Dr. Aytug’s research on bicultural negotiators is a winner of the Emerald Literati Network Awards for Excellence and has been featured in the Psychology Progress series.
In this 2-day workshop, you will change your approach to negotiations and learn how to achieve better negotiation outcomes. We will cover effective preparation, essential and advanced strategies to ask for more, and techniques to create win-win agreements and mutual trust. You will learn how to get more out of a negotiation, whether it may be job, sales, business, or other negotiation. Dr. Aytug will show you how to get prepared for effective negotiation and which strategies to use to get better results as well as how to enhance your self-confidence and reduce the anxiety associated with negotiations.

A BroncoLEAD partner event by The Student Innovation Idea Lab (iLab).
