During this tax differed double header, you will learn how to build wealth using 1031 Tax Deferred Exchanges in your real estate deals from Bill Angove, Asset Preservation, Inc. As well as other tax deferred strategies, including the use of Delaware Statutory Trusts from Jamie Furlong, Legacy Investment Real Estate.

Presentation will cover:
• How to build wealth using 1031 Tax Deferred Exchanges
• A discussion on why it’s getting harder and harder for clients to find quality replacement property investments
• To learn why the Delaware Statutory Trust was developed with the IRS to mitigate the risk of common 1031 pitfalls that Bill will discuss
• New solutions for real estate investors:
1.  Simplified estate/succession planning strategies
2.  A way to transition out of burdensome landlord duties into passive investments (aka “mailbox money”)
3.  What to do if you can’t find replacement property within the 45-day window
4.  How to manage the inherent risk of real estate investing by diversifying into a “portfolio” of DSTs that may provide steady monthly income, capital preservation, and appreciation
• A discussion on Opportunity Zones as an alternative to a 1031 exchange
BILL ANGOVE
Bill Angove, is California State Manager and Senior Vice President of Asset Preservation, Inc. (API), and has been with API for over 21 years. Prior to joining the company, he acquired 10 years Commercial Real Estate experience in Sales and Leasing with Bishop Hawk Commercial Real Estate in Sacramento, CA. He is involved in the real estate community having served as the President of ACRE (Association of Commercial Real Estate) and was on the Board of Directors for CREW-Sacramento. Bill is also an affiliate member of many organizations such as CAR and SAR, EDCAR, and PCAOR.

Jamie Furlong is a 1031 exchange replacement property specialist at Legacy Investment Real Estate. She believes that everyone deserves to preserve their wealth and hard-earned money, which is why she educates investors and advisors on new investment opportunities and strategies that may give them more options and better results.
