Event description
Potential threats to voting systems and the integrity of votes cast on Election Day are persistent and evolving. The ability for a foreign country or hacker to possibly influence the outcome of an election was first brought to light during the 2016 Presidential election, and it is realistic to consider the threat continuing in future elections.
Professors at Towson University are working on research to train Election Judges to identify potential cyber, physical, and human threats at polling places during Election Day.  The goal of the research is to enhance the Election Judge training process with knowledge of how to identify and mitigate potential threats as they may occur.
You are invited to participate in this research by taking a short pre-test, completing a learning module, and then taking a short post-test to assess your knowledge gained by interacting with the module.  Your responses to the test will enhance our research and give us an insight as to what an Election Judge might learn while completing the training.
Lunch will be provided as part of your participation.  Please RSVP and then drop in during the event time.  You do not need to stay the entire time, but will need 30-45 minutes to participate in the research.
