Event description
Ludowici’s legacy of terra cotta craftsmanship began nearly 400 years ago in Rome and in the late 1800’s, looking to expand a family business into the new world; the company moved to the US and an American tradition was born. Still manufactured in Ohio, their architectural products adorn tens of thousands of historic and newly built commercial and residential structures around the world.
In April, they opened our first Design Center in the Dallas Design District with an established base of numerous Texas universities, government buildings, residential homes, etc. already sporting their roof, wall and floor tiles from the early 1900’s to the present. Houses in Swiss Avenue Historic District & Lakewood, The Degloyer Estate/Arborutem and Highland Park Shopping Village are some local examples.
Scott Lange, National Commercial Vice President for Ludowici, will travel from Ohio to present the benefits of using terra cotta, its green properties, the vast variety of profiles textures and colors available, etc. Registered architects will receive 1.5 CEU credits.
This lunch n learn is free, but registration is limited and requested for a headcount.
