Event description
Cheese, Charcuterie and Wine Pairing Experience
Love cheese? Love charcuterie? Love wine? Why not come along to our cheese, charcuterie and wine matching evening and learn more about the best cheese, meat and wine pairings to enjoy at home. We will be exploring a range of delicious cheeses and meats and matching them with some classic wines from around the globe. We will also talk about food and wine matching more generally, and you'll pick up some really good tips to take away and practice at home.
Charcuterie is a generic term for the products traditionally sold by charcutiers (pork butchers), and includes all products based on pork meat or offal, including cured and cooked meats, fresh and smoked sausages, pâtés, black puddings and salamis. Order charcuterie in a restaurant and you will be served a platter of cuts of meats and sausages prepared in various ways.
Expect to taste different styles of wine on our evening - some of our favourite pairings involve sparkling wines, fortfied wines, rose wine alongside your usual selection of whites and reds.
On the evening we will try 7 different delicious cheese, charcuterie and wine combinations.
