Event description
Boundaries – both real and imagined lines that mark the edge or limit of something.
‘As I went walking I saw a sign there And on the sign it said "No Trespassing." But on the other side it didn't say nothing, That side was made for you and me.’ - Woody Guthrie, This Land is Your Land
Join us for a walk and a talk on 19th June to talk about the real and imagined lines that make up the city of Liverpool. We’ll cross boundaries as we go, skirt the edges of others and walk from one boundary to another. We’re meeting at 5:30 PM at Central Library and will finish our evening a couple of hours later at the waterfront after a walk and a chat, and a drink or two.
Who sets the boundaries that we will cross that night, and who decides when they change? Do the invisible boundaries matter just as much as the physical boundaries we’ll cross?

The second in a series of 3 events about engaging with issues from the UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Organised in partnership with Wordscape's Fiona and Andrew this event is certain to be a fascinating and insightful discussion about how we navigate our city's and our own boundaries. It will also feed into a wider debate about changing the boundaries of the WHS in Liverpool.

Our final event in the series will be held at The Florrie in the Dingle on Wednesday 17th July at 5.30pm involving heritage buildings at risk around the city and their connections to the WHS. Follow our website engageliverpool.com for more details as they come.
