Join Keyierra Collins & Brianna Alexis Heath as they collaborate on the Tennis Court of Sherman park at dusk for site-specific exploration & movement research through the parameters of SET FREE & Project Tool.

SET FREE is the culminating performance series for artists working within SET composition and FREE improvisation. Over time, the structure has increased awareness and appreciation for each individual’s creative process and provided a space for emerging and experienced makers to weave their studio and performance practices together in developing this work. Artist and audience exchange was vital to the life of the series and we invite you to join us now for the final performances. (Courtesy of The Watering Can)Project Tool is a group of independent collaborators across multiple art mediums who indulge in the learning process of building sprung wood dance floors. Onye Ozuzu acts as artistic director, choreographer and builder to envision what is learned physically, emotionally, and conceptually in the process of building has become the material used to craft the performance. This project stems from her fascination with the inter-relationships between body, task, and tool. Learn more at ) Project Tool in SET FREE is an opportunity for Project Tool performers, builders and collaborators to engage in movement practice and research with their South side Chicago communities. Builders & performers: Keyierra Collins, Keisha Janae, Jessie Marasa & Aaliyah Christina along with dramaturg Brianna Alexis Heath, documentarian & emcee Jovan Landry, and sound engineer and artist Damon Locks will open different spaces to community members to witness and experience culminating exhibitions of Project Tool’s journeys through improvisation and composition. Keep it locked for activations in Englewood, Hyde Park, South Shore, Bronzeville, Bridgeport & Washington Park.
