Event description
Did you know that living in the city can increase your risk of mental illness by 40%?
We want to change this number by making our community aware of what everyone has access to: the outside.
Walking in a natural environment can actually lower brain activity associated with depression.
In partnership with Texas A&M Forest Services, we will be hosting a free event with fun activities and educational booths to provide our community with resources that promote good mental health. There will be yoga, forest therapy, live music, food trucks, **** painting, puppies, and more.
This event is free, however you must RSVP and bring your ticket. Attendees with tickets will receive a special gift from us. Everything will be free except for food truck merchandise or other merchandise sales. Parking is limited so please carpool.
Want to sponsor this event?
Please contact Mary Kate Kohl at mkkohl@mhadallas.org or (214) 872-2420 ext.118 for more information.
