Event description
Equation’s extensive training programme is at the core of our support for our community workers and is supported and subsidised by Nottingham Crime and Drugs Partnership.  To enable all workers to access our training courses we will provide them for FREE for Nottingham City workers. However, if your organisation provides you with a training budget we ask for a suggested donation of £20 which will enable our charity to cover the processing and administration costs.  Thank you.
This one-day course is for workers and volunteers from all sectors who want to understand why abusive men perpetrate domestic violence. It will help you respond safely to perpetrators you may meet in day-to-day working life.
Learning outcomes

Increased understanding of the reasons why abusive men perpetrate domestic violence
Improved understanding of good practice for working with perpetrators, including safe practice and the risk of collusion
Increased understanding of appropriate referral pathways for perpetrators and the importance of support for survivors

Prerequisites: Delegates must have completed Equation's Understanding and Responding to Domestic Violence and Abuse training.
