Event description
A Weekend Thaypassana Meditation Retreat with Janice Sheppard and David Haskin.

“OH, FEAR, HERE YOU ARE AGAIN. I KNOWYOU. HOW INTERESTING THAT YOU’VECOME. MAKE FRIENDS WITH YOUR FEAR.”

— JACK KORNFIELD

We humans experience a wide range of emotions, including fear. Fear can sometimes help us, but without mindfulness, we often aren’t aware when our thoughts and actions arise automatically out of the habits of our mind related to our fears. The practices of meditation and mindfulness give us the tools to shine the light of awareness on even our most subtle fears so that they don’t silently guide and direct us. In this retreat, we will examine what fear is, how it may arise and overcome us, and some strategies and antidotes so we don’t live a life controlled by are asked to arrive in time for the retreat opening and attend all sessions through to the final closing session. Please note — during this retreat participants will be in Noble Silence.
