Knowing how to make a roux is one of the most useful kitchen tips you will learn! Join Chef **** Fuqua of Je Ne Sais Fuqua LLC as she helps you start with the basics of a good roux and why it's important to sauces. You will also learn how to adjust the roux to be gluten-free. Then, you will develop one of the five "mother" sauces and how to modify each for certain recipes. Lastly, you will turn your sauces into servable meals.
About Your Instructor
**** Bronson-Fuqua is CEO and Chef of Je Nais Se Fuqua LLC. After many years working in the communication field, **** returned to her first love of culinary arts attending classes through Cincinnati Cooks at the FreeStore/Foodbank and completing her degree in Culinary Management through Cincinnati State. Currently, she combines her culinary passion with a desire to help others overcome food insecurities as a chef instructor for Cooking for the Family through St. Francis Seraph Ministries. “I have been excited to learn that the only thing I love as much as cooking is the joy of helping students discover new foodways and recover a hands-on experience with meal preparation.” - ****
