Event description
Play Synopsis:
Maude, a fifty-something unemployed bartender living in a trailer park, has bought a painting for a few bucks from a thrift store. Despite almost trashing it, she’s now convinced it’s a lost masterpiece by Jackson *******… and worth millions. But when world-class art expert Lionel Percy flies over from New York and arrives at her trailer home in Bakersfield to authenticate the painting, he has no idea what he is about to discover.
Inspired by true events, this hilarious and thought-provoking new comedy-drama asks vital questions about what makes art and people truly authentic.

Performance Times:
Evening performances (Thurs., Fri., and Sat.) begin at 7:30 p.m. local time, unless otherwise performances (Sun.) begin at 2:00 p.m. local time, unless otherwise advertised.
Due to the intimate nature of our venue and to ensure the safety of our patrons and cast members, patrons who arrive after the performance has begun may not be able to be seated. If you need to leave the theatre during the performance for any reason, you may not be re-admitted until intermission (if the performance has one). We will make every effort to accommodate late arrivals in other ways until seating is safe and discreet.

**PLEASE NOTE: Thursday evening performances are "Pay What You Will" at the door only.**
There is a recommended donation of $10 but no-one will be turned away as long as seating is available... so come early and grab a seat! Alternatively, we invite you to purchase your ticket online at the full ticket price; discounted tickets are not available online at this time.

How can I contact the organizer with any questions?
Please contact us at info@
What are my parking options for getting to and from the event?
Parking is available in the nursery school lot adjacent to the theatre weeknights after 6 p.m. and on weekends.
As well as street parking, there is also overflow parking available in the lot across from GracePoint church – two blocks south of the theater on the corner of 42nd and Monroe.
Is my ticket transferrable?
Yes. If you realize you can't attend the show for the date you purchased, your ticket is transferrable to a friend, family member, or even a complete stranger. As long as they can give your name at will call, it's all good.
Is my ticket refundable?
No, tickets are non-refundable. However, we understand that might make you sad so perhaps consider giving your ticket to a friend as a gift? They’ll feel so loved/awesome/amazing because you thought of them. And we’ll both feel a little better about you not being able to attend the show.
Can I update my information if I need to?
Going deep undercover? Working for a secret organization? Theatre critic? How exciting!
You can absolutely update your information. You have the power! The easiest way would be to log in directly to the Eventbrite site using the instructions below. Alternatively, you can contact us at and we’ll take care of things.
Instructions: You can update information (such as name, email address etc.) by clicking your order on the “Tickets” page. If you don't see an “Edit” link after selecting your order, the attendees’ ability to change order information has been disabled for some odd reason. If that happens, you can send a message to us by clicking “Contact” at the bottom of the event listing and we'll be in touch.
If you happened to enter a typo in your email (it happens to the best of us even if we don’t want to admit it), you can log in with the typo’d email address and password to update your email address to the correct spelling on your Eventbrite account. However, if you don't recall the typo’d email address, you’ll have to reach out to us directly to request an update to the information on your purchase. And then we’ll know you entered a typo. We won’t laugh. Promise.
Do I have to bring my printed ticket with me?
Although it does make things easier, we totally understand things get lost, misplaced… or forgotten. Like lines. Not that we’ve ever forgotten our lines. Ahem. Just present your ID at will call and we’ll take care of things.
The name on the ticket doesn't match the attendee. Is that okay?
Yes. Please read "Is my ticket transferrable?" above.

Season Ticket Holders are welcome to exchange their tickets (up to 48 hours prior to the scheduled performance). In order to exchange for a new performance date/time, please contact us at and add provide a phone number where you can be reached.
General Admission Tickets cannot be refunded or exchanged. However, we understand things happen; if you find you can't attend the performance for which you have tickets, you may transfer them to someone else. Give your physical tickets to your friends or have them mention your name at will call.
