Event description
This three-day course will serve as an introduction to the use of flow cytometry to less experienced delegates. We will cover the basics of fluorescence and the flow cytometer and demonstrate some of the more commonly used applications to illustrate how the cytometer can be used. We will cover multicolour fluorescence and compensation, DNA and cell cycle kinetics, cell death and apoptosis and receptor quantification. Delegates will have the opportunities to gain hands-on experience using either a BDLSRII or an LSR Fortessa and data generated will also be used to help illustrate how best to perform data analysis.
Places will be limited to 12 delegates to ensure maximum interaction. The lead tutor will be Derek Davies.
