Join us at Sidewalk Science Center (SSC) for this astronomical phenomenon happening on Veterans Day!!The first planet in our solar system, Mercury, will slide across the sun (relative to our view on Earth) on the morning of November 11, 2019 -- and Florida will be able to watch the ENTIRE phenomenon start to finish. This will begin right at sunrise, so make sure you're awake!This will take place at the playground & splashpad, where Sidewalk Science Center is on hosted weekend evenings.IF YOU HAVE YOUR OWN TELESCOPE (WITH A SOLAR FILTER), SOLAR SAFE GLASSES, OR ARE AN ASTRONOMY ENTHUSIAST, CONTACT US TO BE PART OF THIS EVENT!!Stay tuned for complete details coming soon, and how to get your Transit of Mercury, Sidewalk Science Center souvenirs!****Veterans and their families will receive free specially-marked Veterans Day Transit of Mercury Stickers.
