Management 101 will give new managers tools and frameworks to step confidently into their role. We will cover relationship building strategies, as well as best practices for moving through conflict, as a manager. This training will be highly participatory - be ready to share your questions and ideas!
Learning Objectives:
Participants will be able to:

Identify their values, and reflect on how their values impact their professional relationships (specifically, their managerial relationships).
Identify qualities and skills that are essential to effective management
Apply the Four Levels of Listening in their managerial relationships

Ask empowering questions in their managerial relationships

Build conscious relationships with their team members

Intended Audience: Executive Directors, Program Directors, Managers, Coordinators, or others in a supervisorial role in social service organizations  
Alison Traina, M.Ed., is a Certified Professional Coach, consultant, facilitator, and educator who has served young people in a variety of community and school settings throughout the Bay Area, where she was born and raised. On a fundamental level, she believes that people want to connect: to one another, to meaningful work, and to purpose. She coaches people to joyfully connect with what’s most important to them, in service of creating a more equitable world. Alison is committed to building and strengthening beloved communities and to pursuing justice in all its forms. Yes, this is a full-day training. The cost is $55 for non-members and $35 for members.
