Event description
Self Care is one of the most common topics amongst birth workers. That's because it is one of the biggest factors in determinely how long one can do this most important, yet highly demanding, work.
Full Spectrum Doula Care believes that if we are sacrificing the women who do the work in order to support other women, then we are not actually supporting women. We want to help rewrite the script in each of our minds that tells us we need to keep giving and giving, without giving to ourselves.
In this 3 hours workshop, we will discuss strategies for how to pace yourself and set healthy boundaries. We will talk ways to help make birth work sustainable to avoid burn out and create a healthy work-life balance. And together, we will all share the ways that we embrace the on call life while still living fully into our own lives.
The workshop will start and end with us circling up and supporting each other with where we find ourselves that day. Each of us will go home with a list reflective questions and ideas to help inspire us to continue this journey on our own, searching for ways to continually fill our own cups.
Saturday, October 19th, 1pm - 4pm in North Portland (address available after you register).
