Event description
"What do you do?"  "I make perfume".
If this is you, or if this is where you'd like to be, join us at the first business seminar with perfume industry insider  - and veteran independent perfumery creative director - Jeffrey Dame. Learn the "Ins and Outs" of a successful indie perfume business. Learn insider tips on branding, design, product creation, packaging and communication.  Listen in to the truths of indie perfume distribution and sales both here in the States and internationally.  Discover what it takes to make money with the craft you love.
You'll walk away invigorted and enriched with achievable growth strategies for your perfume business, and an understanding of the steps needed for lasting success.  Bring a pen and a pad and an open mind.  The two hour seminar includes an additional :30 minute informal Q&A at the end.
(Note that this seminar will not cover olfactive trends, raw material sourcing or perfumery composition techniques, and is superb for both beginning and intermediate-level perfumers.)

About Jeffrey
Jeffrey Dame is a thirty-five year beauty industry veteran with global experience in the creation and marketing of dozens of brands and hundreds of perfumes.  He has held sales and marketing positions at major beauty companies including Estee Lauder and Parfums Caron as well as broad distribution companies such as Quality King.  Most importantly, Jeffrey Dame has been out on his own since 1999 and for the past twenty years has operated as a one-person business making and selling perfume.  In 2014 he launched his indie perfume brand Dame Perfumery, and in 2018 added his new JD JEFFREY DAME niche perfume collection.  Jeffrey Dame has been there, and is excited to share with you.

When we host a class or workshop, we often order the materials to be used in the class well in advance, based on how many people have signed up (and padding a bit for safety).

We also use class proceeds to pay our teachers.
Although we realize that life has a funny way of getting in the way of the best laid plans, as a small non-profit we cannot afford to carry the burden of lost proceeds and materials.
With that in mind, here is our refund policy:
– Cancellation with refund or credit requests made 2 weeks or more (14 days) before the scheduled class will be honored with gusto! We’ll miss you, but will 100% refund your spot, or give you credit for another class. – Refunds or class credits requested less than 14 days before the scheduled class: We will refund you 50% of your class fee. Why? Because we’ve already ordered the materials. – Refunds or class credits requested less than 48 hours before the class, on the day of the class or after the class has happened will not be granted.
Note also that event tickets are non-transferable.
