Event description
Our Hearts Are Made to Break Open: Place, Time, Ancestry, and Ecstasywith Fio Aengus (Gede Parma) and G. Ravyn StanfieldOnce upon a time and Now more than ever, humans need deep relationships with oceans, forest, soil, wind, and skies to thrive. Once upon a time, and Now more than ever, we pass stories through DNA and shared lineage to heal what has been broken. In this work, we sanctify the darkly radiant and broken-open heart. In folk traditions all over the world, we see Mary, the Christ, and many saints holding out their Flaming hearts of divine love. In Hindu traditions Hanuman, Son of the Wind, holds open his chest to show us all how devoted He is to Rama and Sita, to the principles of creation and service. In Chinese medicine and behavioral neuroscience, we hail the heart as the electromagnetic Monarch of our being, and the key to healing inherited trauma. In Anderson Feri witchcraft we honour and dance wildly with the Black Heart of Innocence.Did you know that we carry the aeons inside of us? Did you know that we are children of Infinity becoming Hirself ever more deeply, fiercely, gently becoming? In this intensive we dive deep through our hearts, learning to make powerful love poems, Initiations, spells, and actions of our heart-broke. In this workshop, we will offer healing gifts to our hearts and bow down deeply to witness ourselves and each other. Together, we sing to Place, Body Most Real, and lean into the songweb of ancestors, human and more than human. We will journey with Trance, story, movement, stillness, discussion, spellcraft, and radical enquiry to hail the heart on fire with the nectar of risk. Partial scholarships available
