Event description
On Saturday, October 5, 2019, the Mental Health Association in New Jersey (MHANJ) and its partner, Monarch Housing Associates, invite community organizations, neighbors and friends to participate the Annual Walk for Wellness and Recovery. The Walk takes place in beautiful Nomahegan Park on Springfield Avenue in Cranford and will begin at 8:30 a.m. This year marks the 12th anniversary of this annual event. Last year’s walk drew participation from over 300 walkers. This is a family event focused on wellness and fun activities. Dogs are welcome. Children aged 12 and under are free.
Walk registration is $25 online (deadline for online registration is October 4 at noon) and $30 on the day of the event. The event features activities for all ages, including pumpkin painting for children, wellness demonstrations and community resource tables.
Funds raised will support advocacy and services for people with mental health and substance use disorders and their family members.
To register for the Walk, please sign up through this portal or visit . For more information call 973-571-4100, ext. 123.
