We purify into the consciousness of authentic expression, eliminating the ego-consciousness and calling in the healing that dance can bring both for the participant and the viewer on this powerful evening ahead of the autumnal equinox - the sacred Mabon celebration. Join Yemanjo (DJ, producer, multi-instrumentalist and singer making medicine music for the 21st century) alongside the performers of Quimera Tribe: Shamanic Fusion Dance as they weave the web of cosmic significance together this Mabon, in this sacred time of decompression and return to the default as we prepare for the upcoming Harvest season and new moon creation period. 6:30-8:00 / (Yoga with Cheri Rae of Peace Yoga Gallery accompanied with sound by Yemanjo)8:00-9:00* / (Shamanic Fusion Dance WORKSHOP with the Quimera Tribe Dancers) *please arrive by 7:45 at the latest to properly prepare to join the DANCE WORKSHOP element! A live Yemanjo show is an infectious and uplifting experience combining live instrumentation and DJ beat science with live vocals in Spanish, English and Portuguese. At 17 Cheri Rae injured her knee critically while landing a jump. Shewas introduced to yoga as physical therapy and when it completely rehabilitated her, yoga became her passion. Cheri studied under Pattabhi Jois, Frank White and, among others. She has been teaching for 18 years.>> Cheri Rae has taught in India, Thailand, as well as a 6 month residence at The Yoga Barn in Bali before returning to Los Angeles to create peace. After high school, she was accepted to USC's drama program and put herself through college waiting tables at Larry Parkers Diner in Beverly Hills. Cheri has had numerous commercial, television, and film roles. Giving is Cheri Rae's middle name. She has been involved in community groups including after school children’s program Solid Youth (for a solid world), community gardening, downtown historic core, Homegirls industries, L.A. Conservation Corp., and the Los Angeles bicycle coalition. This motivation lead Cheri to form “Give Peace Inc.”, a non-profit organization devoted to community support and is a substance-free event with no alcohol being served.
