Event description
Join Duke Farms' own federally-permitted bird ****** Clifford Berek as he demonstrates the mist-netting and banding techniques used by ornithologists to study songbirds.
This program will include a short discussion on the history of bird banding and the different techniques used to study birds, a live demonstration and a hands-on opportunity for participants to release banded birds.
Please arrive 15-20 minutes early, as this class will leave the Farm Barn area promptly at 8:00. 
This class is weather dependent. You will receive an email in the event of a cancellation. 
A portion of this program will be off-trail through high grass, so please protect appropriately against ticks.
