Event description
Join us at our final high school tournament of the season! Register here to serve as a Volunteer Judge.
Volunteer judges listen to students, providing vital reinforcement for the notion that students have valuable ideas to contribute to society. After the debate, judges offer encouragement, share advice for the next round, and tell the tournament organizers who won. No knowledge or experience in debate is necessary.
Volunteer judges ensure that all students have the opportunity to debate at each tournament that they attend: we could not host tournaments without them!

Tournament Information
Hours & Meals: High School Tournament 6 & City Champs is a two-day tournament. Volunteers can choose from one shift on Friday (3:30p - 8:00p) and two shifts on Saturday (7:30a - 12:30p and/or 1:00p - 6:00p), with new judge training beginning 30 minutes before each shift. Friday shifts include dinner and networking opportunities; Saturday shifts each include two meals and networking opportunities.
Judge Training: New judge training is required for first-time volunteers and strongly recommended for returning judges before their first tournament of a new season. New judge training is offered 30 minutes before each shift on tournament day.
Location & Parking: High School Tournament 6 & City Championships is located at Charlestown High School. Free street parking is available nearby. Charlestown High School is also accessible by bus and by the orange line (Community College).
Reminders and additional details will be sent by email during the week leading up to the tournament.
