Archives Training for Volunteers
Join the New Hampshire Archives Group (NHAG) on October 3 at the Nashua Historical Society for the Fall 2019 workshop. Registration and coffee will be available at 9:00 AM.
This workshop will provide basic training and practical advice for volunteers working with archival collections in libraries, archives, and historical societies. The program will include:

Introduction to the Archives

Donation Handling & Condition Assessment

Donor and Patron Interaction

Recording, Describing, and Processing

Tours of Nashua's Speare Memorial Museum

Instructors are Brian Burford (NH State Archivist), Barbara Rimkunas (Exeter Historical Society), Betsy Holmes (NH Institute of Art), and Jeffrey Barraclough (Manchester Historic Association), along with NHAG board members  representing historical societies, educational institutions, and municipal archives. Bring your questions and quandaries!
Please register using a special volunteer rate of just $10 (also available to current NHAG members). Or, if you would like to become a NHAG member, there's a reduced workshop plus membership rate of $25. Total attendance is limited to 50 people.

Advance registration and payment (online or mailed check) required. Current undergraduate and graduate students may also use the special volunteer rate. Coffee and lunch are included.
