Event description
In this four-hour video-based, hands-on instructor-led course, you will be taught the basics of ***** CPR, Automated External Defibrillator (AED) use, how to use an advanced airway (breathing tube) and how to relieve choking. Upon completion of this course, students will receive an American Heart Association BLS CPR/AED course completion card that is valid for two years. The BLS CPR/AED plus Infant Course teaches the basic techniques of *****, child, and infant CPR and how to give first aid for choking. Students also learn how to use an AED, which has become more important since AEDs are now found in the majority of large public places, and they have been proven to be much more effective than CPR alone. We recommend this course to those who work in fields requiring advanced emergency medical skill and knowledge. This course is designed for professional rescuers like paramedics, nurses, lifeguards, etc.*Note: Our BLS course is not valid to for those applying to UCLA EMS. (This certification will be accepted by any other EMS agency)*
(The price paid at registration includes all materials necessary for the course, including the required BLS textbook.)
