Event description

This month’s meeting is all about making it count and making a difference. Come along to learn how to make your business stand out and how to make your speeches stand out.

If you’re one of the first few people to book your place on this meeting, we’ll say a big thank you by giving you some stage time on the day – your chance to take to the stage and tell us who you are and what you speak about. Want some free promotion? BOOK NOW!

Workshop: The 3 Rs – Make Sure you’re Remembered, Referred and Recommended with Mark Lee

Whether you’re focussing on speaking, training, coaching or consulting, you want more business, don’t you? You may hope this will come to you because you have a website or a book. In real life most of us need to take a more active role in generating new enquiries. That means standing out from the crowd and doing enough to be better remembered, referred and recommended.

By the end of this workshop you will have learned:

Why you need to STAND OUT in a positive way from other people who do what you do
The 4 suits approach to having more powerful conversations
The key elements of effective online profiles
How to adopt the 5Ms to avoid wasting time and money on your marketing and networking.

Lots of numbers, but then our speaker Mark Lee used to be an accountant! Now he helps businesses to focus their attention on what they need to do differently to succeed in the immediate future. He’s been doing this since 2006 and as well as being a speaker, author and mentor, he’s also proud to be a Fellow of the PSA and Treasurer of The Magic Circle. He’ll bring his own brand of magic to this workshop!

Keynote: Speaking with Soul with Nicholas Brice
What can you learn from helping business leaders to create and deliver inspiring presentations and 15 years of directing performers in 5-star productions at the Edinburgh Fringe? In this talk Nicholas will share with us a range of practical methods drawn from both business and the performing arts, that are key to delivering high impact speeches. He will help us to explore the principles and practices behind being an authentic speaker who can connect with your audience and persuade them to take action.

What will you get from this talk? It will help you to:

Deliver keynote speeches or presentations that are just a bit different from the normal
Have people experience you as an authentic, credible speaker, who they want to listen to
Deliver speeches or presentations that are positive, enjoyable and inspiring.

Book now if you’d like to learn how to speak with soul.

Remember that the first few people to book will win an ‘on stage’ slot. Get the Early Bird discount, which runs out at 4pm on Thursday 14 November, by booking sooner rather than later!
