Event description
RSC Mid-Southern Counties Family Lecture January 2020
You are cordially invited to…
‘“Bytes and Molecules” – A journey through Human and Computational Chemical Intelligence’
Presented by Prof Jeremy Frey, University of Southampton
Jeremy’s talk will highlight how spectroscopy and computers have propelled much of modern chemistry, and will include some memorable visual demonstrations.  Together they have enabled the discovery of molecular structure and the understanding of molecular properties.  He will show how the use of artificial intelligence is increasing our capabilities in molecular design for the modern world.
This is our annual Family Lecture, which will take place at the University of Southampton* on Saturday January 11th 2020 at 2:30pm.  This event is organised by the Mid-Southern Counties Local Section of the Royal Society of Chemistry.
