Event description
Mental Health and Wellbeing Event (FREE)

An Introduction to The Work of Byron Katie . This a self inquiry process. It is a way to identify and question the thoughts that cause all the suffering in the world. It is a mediation practice. It is a way to find peace with yourself and with the world. Anyone with an open mind can do The Work.

This is an Introduction to The Work of Byron Katie.
I am a graduate of the 9 day school of The Work and the 4 day No-Body Intensive. I am a member of the Institute of The Work and I am currently working towards becoming a certified facilitator and therefore qualified to move The Work in the world.

The Work is a process of self -Inquiry: it is a meditation practice. It is a way of taking your mind to the gym for a work out.

The Work was born when Byron Katie was in her late 30s. She had suffered severe depression for 10 years and the last two years were very dark. She checked herself into a half way house and a week later she has a self realisation experience. She was enlightened to the fact that when believed her stressful thoughts, she suffered ,but when she didn't believe her thoughts, she didn't suffer. The Work was born out of this experience. Katie has found this to be true for every human being since then. She has been sharing this self-inquiry process with the world since then. She is the author of; Loving what is, I need your love - Is it true?, A thousand names for Joy and A mind at home with itself.

If you want to help yourself and find peace of mind, I highly recommend you attend this event to learn about a tool that you can use in your daily life.
