"Have uke, will travel"
Join me on designated Wednesdays to explore the world of song sheets put together by established ukulele clubs according to theme. I will show you the necessary chords, riffs, strum patterns needed to play the songs.
The goal is to keep you playing so you can improve and progress --- and eventually travel with it. Each year, I visit other ukulele clubs in London and elsewhere. I hope to take some of you with me next time.
We start with so-called British Invasion, songs of The Kinks, Rolling Stones, etc. We are modelling after Ukulele Wednesday , a movement that started over a decade ago in a pub in central London, producing nearly 200 pages of song sheets in standardized format, copied to Singapore and beyond.
These sessions are a continuation of Ruby Tuesday classes (May - July 2019) which explored common chord progressions, songs of the Beatles, and more. I will share song sheets with you, to upload onto your iPad or tablet or printed. On special occasions, we will project these song sheets onto the big white wall.
A nominal $25 cash payment covers preparations, equipment, and venue-related costs. Please register to be informed in advance of themes, song sheets, etc.... as this series does not include every single consecutive Wednesday.
