Event description
This course is designed to focus on the specific introductory skills needed to successfully pass ACLS and successfully implement the needed skills in clinical settings. This class focuses on three different sections of the ACLS curriculum: EKG interpretation, pharmacology, and hemodynamic stability recognition. The EKG interpretation section focuses on all cardiac arrhythmias and is approached from a beginner level. The pharmacology section focuses on the primary medications used in ***** and pediatric cardiac arrest, as well as medications used for live arrhythmias. The hemodynamic stability section focuses on the recognition and treatment of patients in cardiogenic shock and aids in understanding of shock pathophysiology. This course is designed to provide students with a foundational ACLS knowledge base and prepare them for successful completion of the ACLS class.
