Event description
Collard greens long have been a staple of Southern cooking, popular in a wide variety of dishes for their strong, assertive flavor. But, do you know what it takes to grow these greens? How about the best methods to prepare and cook these cousins to cabbage, kale and even broccoli? In this free class on collards, our 2019 One Seed crop, we'll be your guide to greens, open the floor to your questions, and even add in a free tasting. Register early through to reserve your spot and receive notice of any changes.
Instructors: Maria Portelos-Rometo, Family and Consumer Sciences agent, UF/IFAS Extension Sarasota County, and Sarah Bostick, Sustainable Agriculture agent, UF/IFAS Extension Sarasota County
