INTRODUCTION TO LINO PRINTING  Sat 22nd February 2020 - 10:30am - 4:30pm (hour for lunch)
Lino Printing is a wonderful art form and during this day workshop we will cover a variety of cutting methods and hand printing techniques. Lino prints are a dramatic yet simple printmaking technique that can be used at home without any expensive equipment. In this session I will show you: How to use each of the cutting tools.                                                              How to transfer your designs onto Lino.                                                                                                                      Show you different types of printing paper.How to ink up a Lino Plate.How to use a printing hand printing methods (printing without a press) which can be used at home.
All materials and tools will be provided.
This workshop will run from 10:30 - 4:30pm, with ahour lunch break. Please bring a packed lunch or visit one of the many cafesclose by on Stapleton Road/Old this workshop for?This session is ideal for beginners with noprevious printmaking experience, or those wishing to refresh their Linoprinting technique. About KerryOriginally from London, Kerry trained as aceramicist at Bath Spa University and now lives and works as a full timeprintmaker in Bristol. She completed an MA in Mutli Disciplinary Printmaking atthe University of the West of England in 2011 and is now based in her studio atPennywell Studios, BristolKerry has been teaching printmaking on and offsince 2009, teaching at Spike Print Studio, Royal West of England Academy,Bristol Drawing School, Bristol Folk House, Pop-Up Shops, various privateclasses and 1:1 tuition sessions from her FAQs RefreshmentsTea and coffee are available during the workshopwith both non-diary and diary milks..
