Workshop Description
In this workshop, participants will explore best practices for teaching argumentative literacy skills. Participants will engage in a sample lesson that models best practices for teaching reading, writing, speaking, and listening for argumentative purposes. The sample lesson also models an instructional design that engage students, fuses the teaching of content with the teaching of skills, and fosters student autonomy and discussion. Teachers will leave with a toolbox of instructional strategies to be used in their own classrooms.
