Piano Tracks is a a series of workshops packed full of new ideas for all teachers, whether just starting out or with years of experience.

TRACK 1: Should your students sit piano exams?  Some want to, others aren't able to, some just want to play pop music.....
The morning's lectures will help you discover not just how to use exams wisely, but also how to ensure students with special needs are included in your studio.  Then you will have the opportunity to learn about the rock and pop exams.
TRACK 1A: The "Russian School" is a term often used by piano teachers, but what does it involve, and how can it be applied to today's modern teaching methods?  Participants are invited to bring their own repertoire to discuss.

During the afternoon , we have representatives from Trinity College London and London College of Music who will answer your questions Finally, guest presenter Kate Cossey from "The Piano School" will help you compile a professional business portfolio and demonstrate how to run a successful teaching practice.

TRACK 2: Practice Tools full day with Graham Fitch, with a master class in the afternoon to work on your own choice of repertoire

Style and Texture from Baroque to Jazz
Sunday 5th April 2020, 9:00am-4.45pm
Coffee is served from 9-9.30am
MORNING SESSION:
Ilga Pitkevica will explain how to introduce Style and Texture in the Early Stages: step-by-step process of teaching the stylistic and textural features of Baroque, Classical and Romantic periods to beginners and intermediate level pupils. Advanced level pieces will be included, if requested.  With Ilga Pitkevica.
(Option: from 9.30-10.45 you can choose to attend The Benefits of Memorisation and How to Memorise with Graham Fitch)
