Thursday, 25. June 2020, Online, Bath Bloodhounds Book Group
About this Event
From old-fashioned detectives to modern-day mysteries
Join us on the last Thursday of every month at 6pm to discuss our chosen crime book. We'll send out the link to the secure Zoom room a few hours before the event, so you have plenty of time to make a cuppa and get comfy.
The books we choose will all be accessible for free, either through our online e-resources, or from a physical Library once they have re-opened.
We have two wonderful volunteers who will take it in turns to lead the discussions:
Kerry Parker-Worgan is a long-time Bathonian and science Publisher, and an even longer-time crime reader. Agatha Christie's And Then There Was None got her hooked as a young teenager and started a life-long love affair with crime and mystery novels.
Rachel Ward is the author of the popular Ant and Bea Mysteries set in Kingsleigh, a town which bears a remarkable resemblance to Keynsham. Rachel also wrote the YA series Numbers and hosts a fortnightly book group on twitter using the hashtag #CosyCrimeClub. Her latest book, Expiry Date, is out on the 18th of June!
Our group is open to all LibrariesWest members. If you don't yet have a library card, you register HERE.
The group is aimed at adults, but under 18s can join us if they are accompanied by a responsible *****.
Places are limited, so reserve your space now!
If you have any questions or suggestions feel free to contact us.
Our first session, on the 25th of June, will be an informal introductory meet up where we will have a general discussion about crime novels.
On the 30th of July we will be discussing Leslie Thomas' Dangerous in Love, from the Dangerous Davies series.
Once you have registered, you can access further information on our Online Events Page.
