Wednesday, 27. May 2020, Online, LARABA Arts District Virtual Neighbor Night
About this Event
Neighbor Nights Goes Virtual
Join us on Zoom, the Last Tuesday of Every Month
The Los Angeles River Artists and Business Association (LARABA) is committed to the well-being of our community, and that’s especially true in a pandemic. Since we can’t meet in person right now, we’ve decided to take our monthly “Arts District Neighbor Nights” events online.
We’ll be using the Zoom app to get together virtually. Please join us on the last Tuesday of every month, from 6-7:30 pm.
Please register on Eventbrite to receive the Zoom password.
Neighbor Nights is an opportunity to connect with your community, share your thoughts over a drink and some food, and learn about what's going on in the Arts District. We may be hunkered down at home, but we believe it’s more important than ever for us to stay in touch and see how we can support each other.
Here’s what we have planned:
Cindy Schwarzstein, LARABA board member, founder of Cartwheel Art and the Director of Programming, Projects & Community Partnerships for Art At The Rendon, will host the discussion.
Each call will include presentations from three community members:
An artist based in the Arts District – The featured artist will have an opportunity to talk about their work, share current projects, and/or give a brief video tour of their studio.
An Arts District business – We’ll hear from the owner/manager of a local business who will talk about what they do and/or provide a brief video tour.
An Arts District restaurant – We’ll talk to the owner/manager of a restaurant that has remained open for takeout and delivery. They could introduce the chef, share a brief video tour, and/or offer a discount to meeting attendees.
If you are interested in being one of the featured speakers, please reach out to the LARABA Team at email.
The Los Angeles River Artists and Business Association (LARABA) is a coalition of diverse community leaders committed to advocating for a healthy evolution of the Arts District by focusing on community well-being, supporting the business community, motivating the LA River efforts and nurturing the arts.
